Card Payment
Paying with Your Card
We accept credit and debit cards through secure payment partners like Link by Stripe. Your card payment is processed as a cryptocurrency purchase (USDC) behind the scenes—you don't need to own or understand crypto.
Why this method? It allows us to offer lower fees, faster international payments, and better privacy (your purchase doesn't show as "PharmacySpark" on statements).
Identity verification may be required. Due to international cryptocurrency regulations, our payment processors are legally required to verify customer identities for certain transactions. This is standard for all crypto platforms.
Have questions? Find detailed answers below.
How does the payment process work?
Here's what happens when you pay with a card:
1. Select "Pay with Card" at checkout
2. You'll be redirected to our payment partner (like link.com for Stripe)
3. Enter your card details on their secure page (we never see them)
4. Complete identity verification if requested
5. Payment processes instantly
Time: 2-5 minutes total (including verification if needed)
Why is identity verification required?
It's the law, not our choice.
When card payments are processed as cryptocurrency (which ours are), governments worldwide require strict identity verification to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing.
This applies to:
- United States (FinCEN regulations)
- European Union (5AMLD/6AMLD)
- Australia (AML/CTF Act)
- Most other countries
Our payment partners (Stripe, etc.) are legally required to verify identities—just like Coinbase, Binance, or any legitimate crypto platform.
When will I need to verify?
Not every transaction requires verification. The payment processor decides based on:
- Transaction amount (higher = more likely)
- Your history (first-time = more likely)
- Risk factors (unusual patterns)
- Random compliance checks
You might skip verification if:
- You've verified before
- Small transaction
- Normal payment pattern
We have no control over when verification is required.
What information do I need to provide?
Light Verification:
- Email, name, date of birth
- Address and last 4 of SSN/Tax ID
⏱ Time: 1-2 minutes
Full Verification:
- Everything above, plus
- Government ID (license, passport)
- Live video selfie
⏱ Time: 3-5 minutes
Who sees my personal information?
❌ Pharmacy Spark: NO
We never see your verification info. It goes directly to the payment processor. We don't have access to your ID, selfie, or sensitive details.
✅ Payment Processors: YES
Stripe and similar processors handle verification. They're regulated financial institutions that comply with GDPR, CCPA, and use bank-level encryption.
What we DO see:
- Order details (items, shipping)
- Payment confirmation
- Nothing else
How do I know the payment page is legitimate?
Verify you're on a legitimate payment processor's page:
We use trusted payment providers including:
- Stripe (Link.com) - Major payment processor
- Other verified on-ramp providers - MoonPay, Transak, Ramp Network, etc.
How to verify legitimacy:
1. Check the URL carefully
- For Stripe: Should be link.com
- Watch for misspellings (llnk.com, llink.com, etc.)
- Must start with https:// with padlock icon
2. Verify Stripe's Link.com
- Visit docs.stripe.com/payments/link
- Search for "link.com" on that official page
- Stripe confirms link.com is their domain
3. Watch for red flags
- Browser security warnings
- Unprofessional design or spelling errors
- Requests for unusual information
- Pressure to act quickly
If anything looks suspicious, stop immediately and contact us.
What appears on my Credit Card Statement?
Your statement will show the purchase of cryptocurrency, NOT "Pharmacy Spark" or any reference medical products.
What you'll see on your statement:
- Payment processor name (e.g., "STRIPE*", "MOONPAY", "TRANSAK", "RAMP")
- May include "USDC purchase" or similar crypto-related terms
- Transaction amount and date
Example statement descriptors:
- "STRIPE*CRYPTO PURCHASE"
- "MOONPAY 7242 USDC"
- "RAMP NETWORK PURCHASE"
What your bank will NOT see:
- PharmacySpark or pharmacy-related terms
- Specific products you ordered
- Any medical or healthcare information
Your purchase is processed as a cryptocurrency transaction, keeping your medical privacy protected.
